Britt Griffith

Britt (she/her) is a white queer educator and care worker providing support services in the unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin People (Ottawa, Ontario). Britt is a registered early childhood educator, full-spectrum doula, and child birth educator in training. She is passionate about childhood development, infant care, and supporting families through change and transition. She believes advocacy, resources, and community-centred care are integral to supporting individuals and families in their reproductive and family building journeys.

Charisse (she/her) is a proud auntie with a passion for community building and queer reproductive justice. After several years working in strategic communications, she is currently serving the Ottawa community as a full spectrum doula, childbirth educator and social justice advocate. Charisse believes everyone deserves access to compassionate and culturally sensitive support through all aspects of their reproductive journey.

Deirdre Bain

Deirdre (they/them) is an educator and community builder with a passion for reproductive justice. Deirdre worked as a birthworker, childbirth educator, and doula trainer for five years, supporting families in Ottawa/Gatineau and training doulas across Canada. Deirdre is the founder of Community Doula Access & had the pleasure of bringing together the incredible team who currently works on the project. Deirdre now works in the co-operative housing sector, supporting innovative solutions to the housing crisis.

After spending several years as a professional figure skating coach, travelling the world, working in the non-profit sector and having 2 babies, I truly found my passion as a doula. I love helping people feel prepared, informed and supported throughout their birth and postpartum experience.
